A disturbance will carry through some light showers this morning and extremely strong winds are expected to persist throughout the next 2 days. With gusts potentially exceeding 45 MPH, a WIND ADVISORY blankets Siouxland until 5 PM. Be careful driving – especially along open roads in larger profile vehicles! The high temperature today should rise into the upper 50s.
Tonight, the wind will back off a touch still gusting to 30 MPH. It’ll be partly cloudy with a slight chill as temperatures fall off into the middle 30s.
Thursday, our wind may strengthen another notch with gusts near 50 MPH. It’ll be mostly sunny with pretty decent Springtime temperatures rising near 60°.
Finally, we’ll see the wind subside further during the day on Friday. We should expect a fairly mild and pleasant weekend with highs rising into the 70s on Sunday. During the second half of the day on Sunday, we may see some showers with a 30% chance of precipitation.
Highs will be in the 60s in what appears to be a quiet start to the next work week on Monday and Tuesday.
