SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) —

Good morning and happy Hump Day Siouxland! We are looking at a windy but mild day today with gradual cooling and highs in the 50s the rest of this week, and some weekend rain and flurries possible. Temperatures this morning are on the mild side in the 50s. Winds are already breezy this morning from the southeast between 10 and 25 mph. With this, the National Weather Service has issued both a wind advisory and red flag warning due to the dry conditions and high winds. Both of these will be in effect until 7 pm this evening. Satellite and radar imagery shows that we have been mostly cloudy overnight with some light drizzles in northeastern Siouxland. Today’s out the door forecast shows that it’s going to be windy but mild with mostly cloudy skies and a high of 70 by this afternoon. Then tonight we will see a gradual decrease in clouds as we become partly cloudy to mostly clear, breezy, and chilly with a low of 36 degrees by tomorrow morning. We may have some light drizzles move through Siouxland later this afternoon, so be sure to tune into KCAU 9 News this morning between 5 and 7 to see when we could see those light drizzles!
