SEATTLE, Wash. (ABC9 Sports)–Northern Iowa is making their first appearance in the NCAA Tournament since 2010. The Panthers know they have a great opportunity.

“It’s an amazing feeling,” said senior Deon Mitchell. “To get the chance to play in the NCAA Tournament. As kids, that’s something you dream of and to have that opportunity, getting it done is amazing.”

“This is the dream of every student athlete in college,” added Nate Buss. “This is the reason people come to college to play basketball. To make the NCAA Tournament.”

“I used to fill out the brackets in the yard with my brother,” said Seth Tuttle. “It is going to be fun to see our school and our university and our guys and see our names. It’s pretty special.”

“I have filled out brackets since I can remember,” said Max Martino. “To just be on the bracket is a dream come true.”
