The Briar Cliff baseball team didn’t score a single run in two games against Concordia, dropping the rescheduled doubleheader 1-0 and 3-0.
Game 1 saw the Chargers keep the Bulldogs in check for most of the game, two doubles in the 3rd inning led to the only blemish of the game for BC. But Concordia pitcher Jake Fosgett was able to keep the Chargers off the basepaths and secure the win for the Bulldogs.
Game 2 was more of the same for Briar Cliff’s bats. Zero runs again, and this time the Bulldogs scored more. Three runs is usually a surmountable margin, but BC could not get anything done on offense. The Chargers had won 6 of their last 7 before dropping this doubleheader.
