Over 80 golfers were part the Rivercade Tournament that wrapped up Sunday at Green Valley Golf Course.
This annual tournament is easier than other Green Valley tournaments like the Tri-State Masters and the Green Valley Club Championship. Green Valley PGA Director of Golf Scott Harmelink aims to make this tournament golfer friendly.
“The Rivercade Amateur is a tournament we have out here annually in July and we do have a number of tournaments out here,” Harmelink said. “With the Rivercade we try to set the golf coarse up a little more accessible than for instance the city championship. For the Rivercade we play the golf coarse shorter, the rough we keep it pretty mowed down with, the pins are pretty accessible, so we’d like to see some low scores in the Rivercade,”
