There are plenty of storylines to watch at this Saturday’s King of the Cage: Most Wanted at Winnavegas Casino Resort in Sloan, Iowa.
For example, the main event features Sioux City East grad Kyle Angerman making his professional debut.
But two other fighters to keep an eye on are Blaze Gill and Jamie Milanowski.
Gill, a standout wrestler at Sioux City North during his prep days, is also making his professional debut on Saturday after sitting out mixed martial arts for a few years.
Milanowski, who fought and lost at Winnavegas last October, is trying to redeem herself this weekend.
“It feels like a whole lifetime leading up to this, you know?” said Gill. “Going from wrestling rooms to people’s basements for MMA gyms and taking a break from it for a while. And then making that long hard journey, losing all the weight and just getting back into a position where I can compete again. Now it’s time to bring my talents back home.”
“I really had to evaluate my emotions,” said Milanowski. “And it really took a lot for me. I had to deal with that internally for quite a while. But once I realized where I went wrong, it’s just helped me skyrocket.”
