You May be Surprised Who Branstad’s Inviting…

A whole bunch of Republican presidential hopefuls will be back in Iowa in March for the Iowa Ag Summit and Iowa’s Republican Governor wants to make sure no Democrats feel unwelcome.
Governor Branstad met with Vice President Joe Biden when he was in Des Moines last week. Biden invited him on Air Force Two for a tour and Branstad invited him to come back to Iowa for the summit.
Biden said he would consider it.
“I want to be a good host, and that’s why I went to meet the Vice President. I was very honored that not only I got the opportunity to meet him at the plane, he invited me to come on the plane … We had a very fruitful discussion,” said the Governor Monday morning.
The Governor says he’d also like to see Hillary Clinton attend the event hosted by Bruce Rastetter as well.
We also asked him if any of the potential Republican candidates have caught his eye and he says it’s much too early to tell. Last go around, he didn’t endorse anyone before the Iowa Caucuses.
