Target Moving Towards Gender Neutral Store Signs

Target's Gender Sign

Minneapolis, MN (ABC News) – Popular retail store Target will stop using gender based signs in their store.

This comes after a backlash on social media that show different sections for girls and boys in the toy section.

Target will also stop using signs in the home and entertainment section.

So what does that mean?

Well the signs won’t say who the item is for, so instead of it saying “boys” or “girls,” the sign will just read “kids.”

They will also remove colors based on gender, including the use of pink for girls.

On ABC9 News This Morning, Jessica Rae and Elisa Raffa discussed the change in store policy.
