North Dakota woman with MS gives birth to own grand child

This Morning

Here is a story, straight out of Hollywood.

Meet Sherri Dickson. Sherri is 51 years old, and battles multiple sclerosis.

She also just became a mother, and grandmother at the same time, with the same baby.

Yes, you read that right, her new baby is her grandchild!

You maybe asking yourself, how did that happen!?

It is actually pretty sweet. Sherri became a surrogate for her daughter Mandy Stephens.

Mandy and her husband Jamie have been trying to get pregnant for years, but have struggled conceiving. Sadly they had lost a baby due when she went into labor early.

Doctors warned Mandy that a premature birth could happen again, another pregnancy was out of the question.

That is when Sherri jumped in and offered to be her surrogate.

Even better for Sherri, the pregnancy helped put her MS in remission!

Sherri successfully gave birth to a little baby girl, named Mila!

On ABC9 News This Morning, Jessica Rae and Elisa Raffa chatted about this amazing story.
