Star of Laverne and Shirley Dies at age 75

For anyone watching television in the late ’70s and early ’80s, Penny Marshall is a name most will remember.
Marshall, a co-star from the sitcom Laverne and Shirley, passed away Tuesday due to complications from diabetes.

The sister of famed director Gary Marshall, Penny was the first women to direct a movie that made more than $100 million when she directed “Big”.  She later direct hits including “League of Their Own.”
Penny Marshall was 75.
