South Dakota reports surplus despite lower taxes

S.D. (KCAU) — South Dakota reported lower tax revenue during the 2019 fiscal year.

The state on Monday said revenue came in nearly $9.9 million under their tax revenue predictions.

However, South Dakota officials said there is still a surplus in the budget. The state has a $19.4 million surplus from 2019’s fiscal budget.
