President Trump visits Sioux Falls

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) - President Trump is wrapping up a whirlwind trip to South Dakota.

President Donald Trump was in South Dakota Friday afternoon.

The commander and chief arrived in Sioux Falls around 3:00 p.m. on Friday.

The president's trip served as a fundraiser for Congresswoman and South Dakota gubernatorial candidate Kristi Noem.

"She's extraordinary. I've dealt with her. She's tough. She's strong. She's nice. Sometimes she's not so nice, But that's only when it's important for her constituents," said Trump.

Before Trump, the last presidential visit to The Rushmore State was President Barack Obama's 2015 visit to Lake Area Technical Institute in Watertown.

According to state historical records, Trump was the 16th sitting president to visit South Dakota.
