Authorities in South Dakota continue to search for a 9-year-old who’s been missing for seven weeks.
More than 60 volunteers signed up to help with the search for Serenity Dennard in South Dakota this past weekend.
While they did not find serenity, the intention of this search was to help law enforcement narrow down the search area and hopefully bring her home.
“I think Serenity’s story speaks to people on a number of levels. We look in her eyes and we see our own children. When we look at that and we see that it compels us to help. An informed community can get involved and do what they can and today we’re really seeing that.” said Representative Lynne DiSanto
Serennity first went missing February 4. She was last seen leaving the Black Hills Children’s Home in Pennington County.
