Police believe missing woman found dead in Nebraska

South Dakota News

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) – Sioux Falls police say authorities in Nebraska found the vehicle of a 76-year-old woman who has been missing for almost two weeks.

Investigators say Kathryn Butler’s vehicle was found in a field in Saunders County, which is about 40 miles west of Omaha. A body was found nearby, which police believe may be Butler’s.

Authorities are waiting on an autopsy later Monday to confirm that.

Butler was last seen in Sioux Falls on April 24 and was seen later that day in Orange City, Iowa.

Sioux Falls police say they are waiting on more information from investigators in Nebraska, but don’t believe foul play was involved.
