Flood recovery in South Dakota totals over $5 million according to FEMA

South Dakotans have received over $5 million to help recover from spring floods.

FEMA says that it’s provided almost $1.8 million to homeowners and renters to help them recover from the spring floods.

The Small Business Administration reports that it has approved more than $3.1 million in loans for business owners. South Dakota totals 222 flood claims totaling $3.7 million.
