SIOUX CENTER, Iowa (KCAU) — Another Siouxland ethanol plant is shutting down.
Siouxland Energy Cooperative announced it will be halting production at the Sioux Center facility. In a statement, the board of directors says the Trump administration’s small refinery exemptions have reduced ethanol demand by four billion gallons.
The board president says he hopes the Trump administration will address these issues, allowing the plant to resume operations.
