LINCOLN, Neb. (KCAU) – Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts invited a guest to speak about a program that helps tenants with rent issues during a press conference.
Nebraskans can visit this website to apply for the Emergency Rental Assistance Program. The federal part of the program can help tenants pay past due rent, utilities, or future rent. However, applicants can’t apply for more than 15 month’s worth of assistance or $20,000. The landlord and tenant can both apply for this program, and both parties must verify information and documentation.
During his press conference, Gov. Ricketts also said it is Nebraska FFA Week.
