Forbes’ Names Highest Paid Athletes Of 2015

Forbes’ has released a list of the highest paid athletes of the year, and it should come as no surprise on who topped the list.

So who’s number 1?

Well that would be “Money May” himself, Floyd Mayweather.

He earned the top sport for his “Fight of the Century” against Manny Pacquiao.

For 12 rounds of action, or 36 minutes, Mayweather pocketed $300 million!

Coming in at number 2, is his opponent in that May fight, Pacquaio.

For his role in the much derided fight, the “Pac-Man” made and estimated $160 million.

Two soccer stars picked up the next two spots.

Christiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi came in at number three and four respectively.

Tennis great Roger Federer rounds out the top 5 for the year, banking $67 million.

Even though he has been in a slump over several years, Tiger Woods still made the list, making an estimated $50 in the past 12 months (mostly from endorsements).

Baketball stars LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Kobe Bryant, as well as golfer Phil Mickelson make up the top ten.
