SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) – Siouxlanders got to watch the start of local baseball Thursday night!
The X’s opened their 100 game season at the home field of Lewis and Clark stadium.
It was pretty warm out, but it didn’t stop fans from seeing their home team play their first game of the year.
We asked Siouxlanders what their favorite part of baseball season is now that it’s back in full swing.
“Being able to catch foul balls,” says one fan.
“It is definitely the walk up songs and the beer batters,” says another.
“I like a walk-off hit or a run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game,” says a long time fan.
The explorers have been Sioux City’s baseball team for 27 years.
