SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) – The ice cream capital of the world is getting ready for a major milestone next week and a major renovation project is complete just in time.
The Wells Visitor Center and Ice Cream Parlor will reopen to the public during the annual Ice Cream Days. Le Mars will also be celebrating its 150th anniversary. The remodeled visitor center has interactive exhibits that show how ice cream is made.
“When we can get more people here, get them talking about it, share that and be able to have more people come and enjoy this. They’re going to find that we have a great thing to offer Le Mars as a community has a great thing to offer and more and more folks are going to come here on a regular basis,” Ryan Coyle of Wells Enterprises said.
Ice Cream Days and the sesquicentennial celebration begin June 12 in Le Mars.
