Police are investigating two alleged sexual assaults, one of which was reported to have happened on the University of South Dakota campus and the other off-campus.
Both assaults are alleged to have happened on Sunday, September 27th, but weren’t immediately reported.
The university has notified all students, faculty and staff about the reported assaults, which included pictures of three persons of interest that were collected during the investigation. ABC9 has chosen not to share those photos because they have not been identified as suspects.
“Our first priority is the safety of our students and people in our campus community,” said USD President James W. Abbott. “We don’t want to panic people, but at the same time we have a responsibility to make people aware of a possible safety concern.”
No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
