According to officials with MidAmerican energy, power has been restored to about 900 customers in Sioux City. Officials tell us the power dropped at around 6 p.m. because of weather-related issues.
Officials say they will continue to monitor very strong wind in the area.

The MidAmerican Energy outage map shows that 967 customers are impacted by the outage.
It started just before 6 p.m. An estimated restoration time is 8:15 p.m.
A MidAmerican Energy representative told KCAU 9 that crews are currently investigating the cause of the outage.
