U.S. Rep. Dusty Johnson visits with students at USD

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) – Students at the University of South Dakota caught the ear of U.S. Representative Dusty Johnson of South Dakota on Monday.

Johnson toured the campus before meeting with students and faculty in the political science department. The representative shared insights on being a freshman congressman and answered student questions. Johnson also offering encouragement to students looking to pursue a career in politics.

“And so one thing that I want to do is let students know that this is a career. Whether you do it as a volunteer engagement or whether you do it as a career, helping other people is meaningful work, it’s hard work but it’s worth doing,” said Rep. Johnson.

Rep. Dusty Johnson represents the entire state of South Dakota.
