Fire crews in Storm Lake were able to put out a vehicle fire Tuesday night.
The Storm Lake Fire Department was called to 421 Flindt Drive Tuesday night around 7:30 p.m. for a vehicle on fire in the Villager Restaurant parking lot.
They arrived and saw a Dodge truck engulfed in flames when they arrived. They said that they were able to extinguish the fire without incident.
No one was injured, but the vehicle took an estimated $10,000 worth of damage.
They believe the cause of the fire to be due to an electrical short circuit in the dashboard.
The crew was on scene for about 30 minutes and was assisted at the scene by the Storm Lake Police Department.
