Thunderstorms Likely Today

Local News

Be aware of some pockets of dense fog this morning – especially toward Omaha and Interstate 80. Today we’ll have showers and thunderstorms extend across the area as we transition into the afternoon. Wet weather will last until about midnight tonight. Rainfall totals may exceed half an inch. Fortunately, our chances for severe weather have dwindled with the best ingredients for severe storms staying south of our area. Just stay alert down near Missouri Valley, Denison, and Harlan as that’s where we have the best opportunity at a strong storm. The high today will be 66°.

Tonight the rain will be shut off and after midnight look for clearing of the skies. The low temperature will dip to 45°.

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday will be gorgeous! There will be plentiful sunshine with highs ranging from the mid 70s into the lower 80s. Saturday night going into Sunday morning there may be a brief shower, but that will be done by sunrise Sunday and the impact will be minor if those showers do happen to get going.

Highs will stick in the 70s with some more comfortable springtime weather lined up for the region. Tuesday we have a chance of showers and thunderstorms.

Have a nice day! Don’t forget an umbrella or rain jacket as you step out.
