Three busted in Le Mars for possession of meth, cocaine and heroin

A trio stopped by police for speeding on Highway 75 Tuesday ended up in jail for possession of meth, cocaine and heroin.

According to the Le Mars Police Department, a car occupied by three people was pulled over by an officer for speeding near mile marker 119 on Highway 75.

After speaking with the driver, the officer noticed a smell of marijuana coming from the car.

Authorities say Terrell Armstrong, 21, Semaj Wells, 23 and Jonette Buchanan,19, admitted to smoking marijana earlier in the day and after subsequent search Police found a large amount of drugs in the car.

Le Mars Police located approximately two pounds of methamphetamine, a pound of cocaine, and small amounts of heroin and marijuana in the car.

All three suspects were arrested and face several charges including Possession with intent to deliver and are being held in the Plymouth County Jail. Each are being held on a $50,000 bond.

Le Mars police were aided by the Plymouth Co. Sheriff’s Department and K-9 unit Niko during the investigation.
