Storm Lake, IA (ABC9 News) A Storm Lake woman was arrested on Wednesday for child endangerment, after playing the “pass out game” with her children.

According to the Storm Lake Department, an investigation was conducted along with the Department of Human Services, regarding child endangerment.

Authorities say Jennifer Cordova, 31, of Storm Lake, was caring for her 7-year-old and 13-year-old sons back in June, when she allegedly initiated the “pass out game” with the game.

The “pass out game” is when someone deprives themselves of oxygen until they pass out.

During the game, police say Cordova had both of her children lie on the floor and then stand up. While the children had their arms crossed, Cordova allegedly pushed on their chest until they lose consciousness and pass out.

Police say the 13-year-old boy passed out while playing the game, and fell and hit a table. However, the 7-year-old did not pass out during the game.

On Wednesday authorities arrested Cordova at her place of employment in Storm Lake. She is charged with two counts of child endangerment, both aggravated misdemeanors.

Cordova was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail and is being held on a $2,000 bond.

The 13-year-old boy is now living with his grandmother out of state. The 7-year-old boy is currently living with his father in Storm Lake.
