The Iowa State Auditors office has concluded its investigation looking into embezzlement by a former East High employee.

According to State Auditor, Mary Mosiman, the investigation was requested by Sioux City Community School District officials.

The unauthorized bank accounts were allegedly established by Melissa Dickerson in the name of Sioux City Special Olympics.

Mosiman identified over $17,000 of undeposited collections.

Further into the report, it is learned that Dickerson used the money for cash withdrawals, payments of credit card bills, and purchases made on a personal trip.
