Star Wars series returns to the Silver Screen in Siouxland

Local News

Star Wars fans were lined up at the Promenade Theater in Sioux City Thursday night about three hours before the first showing of the new release.

And as with any Star Wars film the premiere wouldn’t be complete without the correct gear and apparel.
Masks and light sabers might not have been allowed, but that didn’t stop folks for having a good time.  We caught up with some folks after the showing and asked them if the move was as good as they expected.

Louis Ramirez said “To me it was unbelievable how everything turned out it was seriously mind blowing. “
Jeana Ferraro agrees.  “I have been waiting to see this and I didn’t get out of my seat until the time it ended. It was absolutely fantastic.”  But Brandon Vu sees it differently,
“I’d say it didn’t live up to the hype but it didn’t disappoint and I am definatly going to see the next two.”

Showings of ” The Force Awakens” at the Promenade start again  at 9am Friday and run through 11pm.
