Spring work on Higwhay 20 in Woodbury County means traffic will be detoured for several weeks

Local News

Folks who travel between Correctionville and Moville on Iowa Highway 20 soon will be taking a detour.

The Iowa DOT says a road closure covering about a 10 mile stretch begins next Monday.  The detour will allow crews to continue their work on the Highway 20 expansion project that eventually will make the highway four lanes across the state.

During the closure traffic will be redirected on Woodbury County roads l-21, D-22 and Iowa Highway 31.

The construction project is to be completed by 2018.  Additional revenue produced by last years ten cent hike in Iowa’s gas tax is helping pay for the project.
