Special prosecutor assigned in murder-arson case

The Nebraska Attorney General is now taking over as special prosecutor in a Siouxland murder-arson case.

Derek Olson and his father Jody, are accused of stabbing to death, a Bancroft man in March, then setting his home on fire to cover up the crime.

The Cuming County Attorney is stepping aside to allow state authorities to prosecute the case.

Neither Olson has yet entered a plea to the charges they face.
