Thursday morning’s snow fall caused some slick road conditions and resulted in an accident earlier in the morning in Sioux City.
A vehicle traveling westbound in the 1100 block of West 9th Street that was turning into 21st was hit by a car coming westbound.
Authorities say the car coming westbound lost control, and that is when it hit the other car.
Only minor injuries resulted from the crash.
Authorities say roadways were slick and played a factor.
“In the mornings when people, when people are getting up and getting ready to go to work and school or whatever, tend to go a little faster than they should, and sometimes they lose there traction and accidents like this occur,” said Officer Aaron Caoark with the Sioux City Police Department.
Law enforcement wants to remind people to slow down and give yourself a little extra time to get where you need to go.
