The Sioux City Symphony is warning local folks not to pay more than you have to for their tickets.
This, after a scam surfaced last year where a fraudulent website was set up for the West Side Story concert, listing bogus tickets for high prices.
They’ve had one report of a customer paying too much for real tickets to the Star Wars show on a third party site that hikes up the prices.
The Symphony’s CEO says there are a few things you can do to play it safe.
Sioux City Symphony CEO Travis Morgan says, “It’s a very popular show, so a lot of people are buying tickets to this. We hope you’re buying tickets from us directly at SiouxCitySymphony.org, at our box office or at the Tyson Box Office, so that eliminates any possibility that you could be scammed into paying a ridiculous amount of money for a show that’s just $49 for any ticket in the house.”
