SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) – As we approach the end of the school year, students will be out of the classroom and on their own when it comes to breakfast and lunches.
The Sioux City Public Schools Foundation is hoping to help students who may not know where their lunch is coming from by offering free meals to students from a Sioux City School Bus.
This year, the foundation will be adding a second bus to help provide food to Siouxland kids.
“The summer meals program is a great way to feed not only kids in the Sioux City school district but all kids in the area who are one to 18 and need a little extra help during the summer months to find nutritional meals,” said the foundations Executive Director Kari Treinen.
The buses will start delivering food on June 6 until the end of July.
