SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — Correction: A previous version stated the increase was for teacher’s salaries. The actual decision was for contracted employees for the school district. We apologize for this error.
The Sioux City Community School District met Monday night to discuss a number of topics, including salaries for employees.
Board members voted unanimously to raising the hourly rate of employees under the Sioux City Educational Support Personnel Association (SCESPA) contract in the school district. These include instructional assistants, bus drivers, and admin assistants.
The new rates will go into effect on February 1.
