A Sioux City man was arrested for trying to sell methamphetamine Tuesday night.

Court documents say that William Reyes, 31, of Sioux City, went to the Hard Rock Casino parking lot on Tuesday around 10:00 p.m. to sell methamphetamine to another person.

That person had reportedly admitted to authorities earlier that she bought methamphetamine from Reyes two days before then and asked Reyes to bring more. They met in the parking lot. 

In a post-Miranda interview, Reyes had allegedly told authorities he was going to take someone to another location to buy more methamphetamine. Reyes also allegedly said that he owned a gun.

Reyes has a felony conviction from 2008. Officers conducted a search warrant at his residence and found a .22 caliber  rifle.

Reyes was arrested for Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Possession of a Controlled Substance, both felonies. He is being house in the Woodbury County Jail on a bond of $6,000.
