Sioux City man arrested for stabbing girlfriend

Police arrested a Sioux City man over the weekend after he allegedly stabbed his girlfriend. 

Vincent Jones, 30, of Sioux City, was charged with aggravated domestic assault, an aggravated misdemeanor. 

Sunday just before 1 a.m. officers responded to a disturbance at an apartment at the 2800 block of West 4th Street. Court documents said that Jones rushed at his girlfriend with a knife in hand. He stabbed at the mattress several times before he then allegedly stabbed the victim in the back of her left thigh. 

Officers seized two knives they allegedly found on Jones. Each was between three and five inches long. 

Jones is being held in the Woodbury County Jail on a $3,000 bond.
