A Sioux City man was arrested Monday for intimidation with a weapon and aggravated domestic abuse.
Court documents say that Sunday night around 11 p.m., Roque Moreno, 37, of Sioux City, pointed a handgun at his girlfriend’s head.
Though the gun did not fire, he allegedly pulled the trigger three times.
Moreno is not allowed to own a gun due to a previous felony conviction.
Officers reportedly found him at a different location over an hour later around 12:10 a.m. on Monday. They say that he tossed the gun behind some items in the doorway while officers were present.
Moreno was arrested and charged with aggravated domestic assault, felon in possession of a firearm, and intimidation with a weapon. He is being held in the Woodbury County Jail on a bond of $25,000.
