A man is in jail after he allegedly cashed in stolen lottery scratch tickets.

Dustin Hill, 35, of Sioux City, was charged with theft of lottery tickets, a class D felony.

According to court documents, Hill was at Sam’s Mini Mart on 7th Street the night of October 19 where he redeemed two scratch tickets worth a total of $90.

He reportedly also cashed in another ticket worth $30 the same night about five minutes later at PG Mini Mart on Hamilton Boulevard.

The tickets had been stolen from Riverside General Store on Riverside Boulevard.  Hill is said to have known the tickets were stolen.

Hill was booked into the Woodbury County Jail on a bond of $3,500. He is also being held for the state of Iowa.

Police had asked for the public’s help last week to identify Hill from surveillance video.
