SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — The school year is well over, but the Sioux City Community School District is getting ready for next year.

The district has placed buses around the city as part of its efforts to hire additional bus drivers.

As part of a statement, school officials said the district is always in need of bus drivers and are looking to recruit drivers for the coming fall semester, adding that driver plays a pivotal role.

Bus drivers play a vital role in helping thousands of students get to and from school and activities outside of school hours. Sioux City Community Schools is always in need of bus drivers and substitutes.
