Sheriff’s office seeking more information in death investigation

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) – Authorities are asking for more information as they continue to investigate the case after a body was discovered near Sheldon, Iowa. 

The body of Cory Allen Wright, 27, of Sheldon, was found March 26 on the shore of the Floyd River near Sheldon. He was later identified by the Iowa State Medical Examiner.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the case and previously asked for anyone with information to contact them. They are now specifically asking anyone with information that had communication with Wright on or after October 10, 2018 either in‐person, by phone, text, or social media.

Anyone with information is asked to call 712-737-2280. Anyone wanting to remain anonymous can text 274637 and enter “SCSO” in the message body followed by your tip.
