A Sioux City company is being honored for re-investing in the community

The Siouxland Chamber of Commerce awarded Rocklin Manufacturing with a Growing Sioux City award Thursday.

Mayor Bob Scott presented that award and says Rocklin’s growth and investment in Sioux City has been valuable.

Rocklin recently completed nearly $1.4 million worth of renovations, allowing it to nearly double in size.

Iowa’s Economic Development Authority Director Debi Durham says this kind of business is just what Sioux City needs.

“What you’re doing here at Rocklin and in Sioux City is obviously smart growth. It is providing good jobs and contributing to a good and contributing to a high quality life here in the Siouxland region,” said Durham.

Rocklin Manufacturing first opened in Sioux City in the 1930s, making industrial electronic equipment.
