A new chapter has officially begun for a popular downtown food spot.
The Brightside Cafe held a ribbon cutting ceremony today with Siouxland Chamber of Commerce.
The new cafe has a variety of food, including sub sandwiches, salads, and burgers, but co-owner Juan Munoz says he wants the business to be more than a restaurant.
“We want to be volunteering our staff at the soup kitchen or giving out meals at different churches. We really want to be involved in the community. Anywhere that needs a hand, we want to be one of the first options they come to,” Munoz says.
The Brightside Cafe is open Monday through Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
