QUIMBY, Iowa (KCAU) – The water boil advisory for the town of Quimby, Iowa, has been lifted.
The town was under a water boil advisory starting Monday due to a fire hydrant leak.

An official told KCAU 9 News that town residents are asked to not use tap water for cooking or drinking.
The boil advisory is in effect until further notice.
The cause of the boil advisory is due to a fire hydrant leak.
