SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) – We’re less than a week away from the inaugural of the Dixon County Farmers’ Market in Ponca, Nebraska! Today, we’re joined by Iris Dutton and Susan Way to learn more.
The inaugural of the market will be held on the west side of the Ponca Community Center located at 123 W. Third St., Ponca, Nebraska. It begins on Friday, May 17 from 4-7 p.m., and goes until Saturday, May 18 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
Held monthly, the market will feature educational classes beginning with Dave Mixdorf on “Seed Saving” at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 18th. Children’s activities will be available for parents and children with a “Planting Buffet” and coloring pages. Vendors include, but are not limited to, spring plants, produce, home-canned jellies, canvas prints, barn quilts, crocheted items and other crafts.
