SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) – With the weather being so nice on Saturday, some people were getting outdoors for an unorthodox exercise. Pole-dancing in the park was an event hosted by Studio 302 Saturday afternoon. Instructors Jasmine Preston and Quwana White were offering lessons in both pole-dancing and hula-hooping, respectively, along the Missouri Riverfront as a new and interesting way to get people up and moving on a beautiful day.
“We’re just soaking in the nice day and especially after the long winter months it’s nice to have an opportunity to be out and active in the parks,” Preston said. She owns Studio 302 and this was one of the first outdoor events the studio held, but Preston hopes they can do more in the future.
