Persons of interest named in Sydney Loofe case

Anyone with information is asked to call police

LINCOLN, Neb. - Police are looking for two persons of interest in the disappearance of a 24-year old northeast Nebraska native.

24-year-old Sydney Loofe of Neligh has been missing for nearly two weeks.

Her family says Loofe was living in Lincoln but didn't show up to Menards for work on Friday, November 16.

Loofe's car was found at her apartment in Lincoln, but she had vanished.

Lincoln police announced Tuesday they're trying to locate two people for questioning, 51-year old Aubrey Trail and 23-year-old Bailey Boswell.

Federal authorities are now involved in the search effort as well for these two persons of interest in the case.

The Lincoln Police Department issued the below release Tuesday morning:

Lincoln Police are investigating the disappearance of 24-year-old Sydney I. Loofe. On November 16, 2017, Sydney’s family reported her missing after she did not show up for work and they were unable to contact her. The circumstances surrounding her disappearance are concerning.

The Lincoln Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division are completing interviews, following a digital footprint and collaborating with other law enforcement agencies. This multi-jurisdiction investigation includes the Lincoln Police Department, Saline County Sheriff’s Office, Nebraska State Patrol, United States Marshals Service and the FBI. Sydney’s family continues to work closely with law enforcement.

The Lincoln Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating two persons of interest identified during the investigation. These two individuals have ties to multiple states. If you have information about these individuals or Sydney’s whereabouts, please call 402-441-6000.

Aubrey C. Trail, 51, is described as 6 feet tall and 285 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.

Bailey M. Boswell, 23, is 5-feet, 8-inches, and 150 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes.
