Norfolk stabbing suspect charged Monday

A northeast Nebraska man arrested for murder, is expected to be formally charged in court Monday.

Police say, Rodolfo Castaneda Morejon, 48, of Norfolk, stabbed another man to death.

It happened Friday evening at the ‘Liberty Apartment Complex’ in Norfolk.

The victim died at the scene and his identity has not yet been released.

Morejon is currently being held in the Norfolk city jail.


Norfolk Police are investigating a homicide that occurred Friday. At 4:30 p.m., Norfolk Police were dispatched to a stabbing outside 904 Syracuse Avenue.

Police found one victim who died at the scene from apparent stab wounds.

The suspect has been identified as 48-year-old Rodolfo Castaneda Morejon of Norfolk. He has been taken into custody and booked into the Norfolk City Jail. for 1st Degree Murder. 

The name of the victim is not being release pending the notification of relatives.

An autopsy has been scheduled for Saturday morning.

This is an active investigation and additional information will be released when it is available.

The scene is blocked off and citizens are encouraged to avoid the area.
