Norfolk police find man at school playground

A Columbus, Nebraska man is under arrest for possession of methamphetamine.

According to Captain Don Miller of the Norfolk Police Department, police were dispatched Wednesday morning around 5:00 to Westside Elementary School for a suspicious person in the fenced playground. There, officers made contact with Hugh Riley, 51, of Columbus, when they located a glass pipe with a white powder residue that tested positive for methamphetamine.

Riley was arrested for possession of methamphetamine. While booking Riley in the Norfolk City Jail, officers located a clear rock substance in a small plastic baggie that is believed to also methamphetamine. 

Riley was later transported to the Madison County Jail.
