Norfolk police arrested one man and are looking for another after they allegedly attacked and robbed a man.

Tuesday around 6:05 p.m., Norfolk Police Department said they received a report of an assault in a parking lot just east of Prenger’s Restaurant at 116 Norfolk Avenue.

When an officer arrived, they found a man bleeding heavily from his head with his teeth knocked out. The victim’s wallet was also missing. He was taken to Faith Regional Health Services for his injuries.

The victim told the police that he had left the restaurant when two men he didn’t know approached him and started a fight.

The two men reportedly blocked the victim’s exit when he tried to leave in his vehicle. When he left his vehicle asking them to move, they then allegedly attacked him, punching him and kicking him on the ground. The two then fled the scene.

Officers obtained descriptions of the suspects and executed search warrants, identifying them as Angel Villalobos, 25, and Jose Tamayo, 32, both of Norfolk.

Villalobos was found and arrested for robbery and first-degree assault. He was booked into the Norfolk City Jail and later transported to the Madison County Jail.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Tamayo with the same charges. Anyone who may know where Tamayo is located is asked to call Norfolk Police at 402-644-8700.
